I was asked to lead a couple of yoga classes at the Go City All Company Conference in the countryside just outside of London. The venue , The Devere Estate, was absolutely beautiful. There was no yoga studio, so I lead the first class outdoors on the tennis courts and the second one in a conference room. Of course, I brought my bag of sound goodies with me! I played my RAV Vast drum for savasana to everyone’s delight.
Teaching for a variety of people with all different skill levels and backgrounds can present its challenges. I felt the most important thing to relay is that whatever they did during our time was perfect! My intention was for everyone to feel capable, safe and have fun. We did a little grounding, integration, a quick flow, of course the crowd pleaser, tree pose, and then back to the earth for some yin postures and savasana.
