We started our Summer Sound Bath series on June 12th.
It was our first event at our Mission Valley location that sold out.
This was exciting but also so hard to have to turn people away. Then there were a few no-shows so there ended up being plenty of space for everyone to spread out. This creates a bit of a challenge as some people donate in advance. If they want a refund we will give it to them but it creates an uncomfortable situation as we are holding the space for them. We are trying to find a balance between making our sound journeys accessible to all and making a small profit or breaking even.
Christina did a great job of explaining some of the science behind how sound vibrations affect our bodies and the healing it provides afterwards during the Q&A session. She is finding her voice in this part of the process and I am learning from her.
We gave the participants each a gift at the end of the session placed at the top of their mats. This was a beautiful way to tie in our theme and thank all of the beautiful souls who attended. We plan to incorporate a little more of this where we can. The challenge is that we are donation based. There is not always a lot of extra money to spend.
